Do you love your home town?

Following the launch of my book, Business Building Blocks, back in 2021, I have managed to get quite good at doing what looks like very little.

Martin Hynes of BCS and I worked together for a while writing a book about Employee Ownership, getting ready to print just at the point the Labour government decided to ruin the benefits for the founding entrepreneurs to empower their staff, as they use this as an exit. It’s kept in draft in case another Government comes in that values the entrepreneur.

So, the last 5 years have mostly included lots of motorhome touring around the UK and Europe. Including visiting places that we had only heard of in the past because their raging wars were hitting the news. Travelling with my business head on, I keep seeing examples of great practice and question why we don’t replicate some of that in the UK and more specifically in the Isle of Thanet, my home for the last 58 years!

I have been working on a manuscript detailing my thoughts on how Thanet could improve. It’s quite detailed, so I plan to distil it into easily consumed instalments that I will post here weekly.
